Delia Sickle Cell Foundation is a nonprofit organization based in San Antonio, Texas, dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by sickle cell disease through awareness, education, screening programs, advocacy, and community outreach. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for sickle cell warriors through partnerships with healthcare providers, patient support programs, and health education initiatives.
Why We Exist
Sickle cell disease (SCD) is a genetic blood disorder that disproportionately affects individuals of African descent and other underserved communities. Despite its impact, it remains underfunded, misunderstood, and often stigmatized.
We exist to close the gap between diagnosis and dignity.
