Touching Hearts. Giving Hope. Changing Lives.

Delia Sickle Cell Foundation is a nonprofit organization based in San Antonio, Texas, USA, dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by sickle cell disease. Through awareness, education, screening programs, advocacy, and community outreach, the foundation works to expand access to care and critical resources.

Operating in both the United States and Kisumu, Kenya, Delia Sickle Cell Foundation serves underserved communities by partnering with healthcare providers, supporting patients with essential services, and promoting health education to improve outcomes for sickle cell warriors and their families.

Why We Exist

Sickle cell disease (SCD) is a genetic blood disorder that disproportionately affects individuals of African descent and other underserved communities. Despite its impact, it remains underfunded, misunderstood, and often stigmatized.

We exist to close the gap between diagnosis and dignity.
